supercharger fluid

Postby 2001goldGTP » Mon Jan 25, 2010 3:59 am

I did my supercharger service today, just changed the fluid, because the car is at about 62K and I wasn't sure if it had ever been changed. Im just wondering is it ok for the fluid to come out as the color of motor oil?

It doesn't when you compare it to any old funky smell in life but you should only be comparing it to smells related to your car or other cars. LOL! Now tell me it doesn't smell like crap compared to trans, oil, coolant, & power steering fluids.  Also don't forget that it smells different on different cars depending on how long it has been run and what all the charger has been through.

I guess I didn't really think about that. I changed mine 3 times in 12,000 for varies reasons when I had the Gev 3 so by the third time it barely smelled at all lol

Hardly ever. LOL! Most just do it when they coupler goes bad or is being changed. This is what about 95% of the owners out there do. I would recommend that if you are going to change the fluid then buy a coupler and change it when you do it to prevent you having to do the change all over again.
