Layout Change? (question to Troy)

Postby gtpforever » Sat Nov 29, 2008 3:59 am

We will need everyone input and suggestions to even get an idea of what we will need to do. Cause what might sound good to one member might not sound as good to another. Found this out by the fact that the layout we have now was from members this is what they wanted but now everyone is seeing that it doesn't flow as well.
Here is some things I wouldn't mind getting on here to make it easier to use, this is a menu bar at the top that has dropdown sections that links could be placed in................................... <a title="http://stylesampler.yuku.com/forums/93" target="_blank" href="http://stylesampler.yuku.com/forums/93"></a>http://stylesampler.yuku.com/forums/93
And this one has a left side bar for doing something similar................. <a title="http://stylesampler.yuku.com/forums/105" target="_blank" href="http://stylesampler.yuku.com/forums/105"></a>http://stylesampler.yuku.com/forums/105
And this one has 2 side bars one on the right and one on the left............... <a title="http://stylesampler.yuku.com/forums/130" target="_blank" href="http://stylesampler.yuku.com/forums/130"></a>http://stylesampler.yuku.com/forums/130

I think these will make a great addition to the site! Now I know that they will cause the pages to shrink a little but it should be worth it cause of having the stuff right on tap for access. Just about all forums out have something like this as far as I have seen and it seems to work wonders.

Any suggestions by any of the members will be taken into consideration as to if it will be able to be accomplished in YUKU and integrated into our design. We all need to be in this together so everyone should bring it up to other members to see what ideas we can come up with.

I think that's kinda what the "rides in general" section is for..... feel free to drop pictures of your car in there. many members have done that.

ya..i'm finally gathering that the rides in general section is considered general discussion. If you put an appearance section..it would filter some of the stuff in RIG section.I also think that not too many people venture away from RIG section.

Layout Change? (question to Troy)

it really seems as horsepower talk is kind of the catch all.... everyone seems to post there if they want something to be seen. I think that has to do with the old forum. horsepower talk was kind of the only section to begin with.

I really like the lay-out now compared to what it used to be.

It really is the catch all cause of the linking to the original GTPWORLD it doesn't show the rest of the forums so when you go there as most of the surfing world does cause it is on a very powerful search engine they get taken right to that old one which has the HP talk section as its main page. All of the new people tent to think that is all we have. LOL!
