GTPForever - New sections

Postby ArkanzanWheeler » Thu Jan 31, 2008 12:46 am

How about adding a DIY or How-To section. We have a bunch of threads like the gauge install, projector headlights, clear corners, etc.

Also a video section would be good also.

Just trying to organize things a little since we are able to now.

OQ has a knowledge base section that i always refer people to. It is the same as a How To section, which would be really cool to have.

I know there is a bunch of other places that have DIY stuff and we can do a links thread to them, but I think it would be cool to have one of our own that the members here did. A lot of times links to other places break, and the OQ forum requires you to register/log in everytime which gets annoying to me.

Edit: I just noticed I put this in the wrong spot so I had to move it.

BTW, how about having a way to tell which sections have new threads since last log in? The little folders on the sides do not work, they say they all have new threads...lol.

What about getting the New Post identifiers (those folder thinks on the left side) working right? It says everything is new right now even after you get done reading it...

I noticed the same thing. I am going to leave things like that alone till after the move to see if there are some other types of icons I can add to it all to clear things up a little.

After you read all of the posys in one section you have to scroll up top and click on "mark forum read" This will make all the "new" topic folders disappear. Everytime someone else responds on a topic the folder will show back up. Once you read all the new topics, click "mark forum read" and move on to the next section and repeat. I have been doing this for a couple days now and it works great! <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START ;) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END-->
