Hi all,!!

Postby AirRescueScott » Wed Jul 23, 2008 7:03 pm

I have been signed up to the forum for awhile, but about the time I signed up my wife started talking about trading our 97 GTP!!! So-o-o-o I didn't see much point in diving into the site at that time.
Since then, she has decided that MAYBE we should just keep the car, put a few $ into it, for fun and MPG improvement and just run it till the wheels fall off!!
So I am here! The 97 GTP is STOCK. Only normal repairs done for the 9 years she has owned it. trans rebuilt at 75K car now has 187K on it.
Se have had the car since Jan. 2000. I've always said it was the most fun a person could have with 240 HP.

Well, first off, Image to the site. Second off, the 97's aren't all too much different from the other years. If you do plan to put a nice cold air induction on, you would have to re-locate the the coolant bottle. Actually you have to ditch your 97 style one and buy a 99+ bottle and move it over to the passenger side strut tower. There are a great bunch of guys here to help you, so you should have no problems here. <p>

Current Mods: XPZ, Stage 3 heads 150int/130exh, IRC bar/plate I/C, N*, 85mm maf, ZZP billet fuel logs, PRJ wires, 2.55, 2.8, 3.25, 3.4 pulleys and might have spun a bearing while dynoing!!!!! Worlds fastest GTP to get in the driveway to get rebuilt. No one comes close.

Good-luck to everyone who is true to the M90.....its like having a fat wife, sure a turbo (hot 120lb blond is better, but the M90 (fat wife) will be there forever!

Some mods will allow better mileage and will also allow you to to rip the tires when needed but most will need you to learn about the car first.
