Well, first off... welcome to the forum!

So you are performing a "top swap?"

As far as your A/C unit, define out. Does the fan not work? Does it not blow cold when you want it to? does it not blow hot when you want it to? Is it the digital dual zone control or analog? These will help out.

The bearing in the unit connected to the pulley on my belt is shot...creating a high pitched noise( not excessive but noticeable). I knew as soon as I purchased the car that I wanted to make this transition so I havent had it fixed, rather have it out and re route my belt. Everything else on the car, aside from an over all tune up is great. It just turned 88,000 miles. I would like to start easy but dont mind if I need to start big. Supercharger is a must period! Thanks for the imput.

so you are saying the A/C compressor is bad? There is a clutch on it with the pulley. This sometimes goes bad (so does the bearings on the pulley) and the only real solution is to replace your A/C compressor, or remove it. I think zzperformance.com sells an A/C delete kit. It puts a pulley in place of the compressor so you don't need to re-route your belt.

Here is what you need to replace the AC if that is what you really want to do: <a title="http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=558&catid=111" target="_blank" href="http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=558&catid=111"></a>http://www.zzperformance.....php?id=558&catid=111 I will tell you that I took the AC out of a few cars, it is fine if you are not in a cold area because the AC is what pushes the defroster air so you will lose that also but it is a great weight saver if you can do it.

Here is a link for the top swap: <a title="http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=382&catid=109" target="_blank" href="http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=382&catid=109"></a>http://www.zzperformance.....php?id=382&catid=109 You will still have to come up with some of the parts on your own or buy them new through them. I would suggest using a stock supercharger gasket though instead of the Garlock one, people seem to have a lot of problems with those.

I know you said you wanted a SC but had you thought about a turbo? It would help save your transmission and would probably make you faster in the end. If I was going to convert a GT, this might be the better option. Here are a couple of the ZZP kits: <a title="http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=964&catid=109" target="_blank" href="http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=964&catid=109"></a>http://www.zzperformance.....php?id=964&catid=109
